7 - Go Nuts On Star Wars
First of all, sorry for the soundquality. A big thank you goes out to listener Flo who helped me salvage a functioning epsiode from the wreckage that were curropted .wav-files.
We spent a whole episode talking about what was going on a long time ago in galaxy far far away. Star Wars influenced a lot of people and paved the way for a lot of things we enjoy today.
Of course we go off topic once and talk about Batman/Young Justice.
If you would like to to let us know about your answers to our questions, please get in contact with us. We'd like to do a a segment or episode with your thoughts on the franchise.
The title of this episode was inspired by this Photoset.
Here's the rundown of our talk:
- First time
- What makes Star Wars a classic for you?
- What about the prequels?
- The joys of an Expanded Universe?
- Did you read any books/comics? If so, what was your favourite?
- George Lucas: is a father entitled to to mess up his kid retroactively?

Corrections:
- The movie is not called The Wizard but Sorcerer
- Anakin Skywalker in Return Of The Jedi wasn’t played by Howard Shore, who is a composer and conductor, but by Sebastian Shaw who has been digitally altered to resemble an aged Haydn Christiansen in later releases of the movie.
- Actor Ian McDiarmid played the role of Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious/The Emperor in the Star Wars prequel trilogy as well as Return Of The Jedi.
- Ahmed Best the actor who portrayed Jar Jar Binks is still in business.
- Vader's meditation chamber was featured in Episode V and not Episode VI
Books mentioned:
- Timothy Zahn: Thrawn Trilogy (US|UK|DE)
- Cam Kennedy & Tom Veitch: Dark Empire (US|UK|DE)
- John Jackson Miller: Kenobi (US|UK|DE)
- Paul S. Kemp: Lords Of The Sith (US|UK|DE)
